The album explores the early experiences, expectations, and circumstances that laid the groundwork for a much larger story involving housing, institutional systems, personal advocacy, and accountability.

Through music, listeners are introduced to the lived experiences and questions that eventually inspired the creation of Paper Trail Series.

Foundations examines the circumstances that established that starting point, including the expectations surrounding housing, the realities encountered, and the early experiences that shaped what followed.

The songs offer personal perspectives on how seemingly ordinary events can become significant when viewed within a broader sequence of experiences.
